    Mike Baker

    Issue 221 (2013)

Sitting in the lofty boughs of a chestnut tree, Mike Baker watched the shunting of the daily pick-up goods on the Somerset and Dorset line near Stalbridge when home from school. Mike Baker

    Issue 213 (2012)

With a perceptive eye on the prototype, Mike Baker has, using hairspray, salt and pots of paint, transformed an ex-works 16 ton mineral wagon by giving it the customary rusty appearance we remember. Whilst his weathering is remarkable, so too is the model which rolled straight out of its box on to his workbench.

Weathering the Lionheart Trains RTR model.
